Basically new but 1 year old VIS Penta Hood. Been in it's Box the whole time. Fit is great, about 10 pounds lighter than stock. Vented and raised center. Check my profile and you can see pics on my car. Never used the hood accept for pics. $700 in Ohio. I'm willing to drive a couple hours also. Shipping Freight is Stupid Expensive but if you want that I can try to set that up.

What's needed to use it on a stock Vette? Can you simply bolt it to the hood hinges and go? Does it latch properly at the rear?

this should fit perfectly on ur C5. all you need to do is swap over the hardware and you'll be fine.

Guys, this hood is the newest creation from VIS, very nice looking hood. i actually looked at buying this guys hood but ended up not wanting it. Its a 1000 new plus shipping so this price he has, its great!! wish he woulda sold it to me at that price!!! LOL

Yes it's still unpainted and the only hardware needed is the two hooks off factory hood and swap over the pistons. You can have to hood swapped out 30 min. Only 4 bolts and a little alignment and done.
