Default LS2 Short block for sale

LS2 short block, 41k miles. Motor came out due to timing chain break. Pistons took all the damage, made contact with 13 of 16 valves but only 9 valves bent. Feels like about 0.030 impressions in the top of the pistons. Cylinder walls look fine. Not looking to get rich here, just trying to offset the price of the new motor (bought LS3 dry sump).

Motor will include oil pan, valley cover, engine cover, oil pump.

$1650 obo shipped to the lower 48 or $1400 obo if you pick up. I would be willing to meet someone within 100 miles of Homestead, FL (South of Miami). Now that the motor is out of the car, I can take more pics for those interested.

Yes, that's what the original post states. If it were me, I would replace the pistons, but many others have suggested otherwise. Call me a whimp I guess...

And the block costs about $1100 new, right? And the oil pan, engine cover, valley cover, oil pump, crank... what would they go for?

I would say the pistons need replacing at best, throw in some rods just to be safe.

I'm not trying to argue, just proving information that will "help advance te sale" like the rules say.

That was a dead serious reasonable offer I can't reuse ANYTHING from the motor..... Pistons gone heads nope rods probablem damaged bearings damaged crank MIGHT be good but if I was gonna build it I would put a crank in it too. I can get a LQ4 running motor for 700$ I am just trying to be honest hear your motor is almost worthless

I appreciate your opinion, but no thank you.

It would most likey cost the same to ship it, so it would be a waste of our time.

your compare a NEW block to a USED block with metal shaving of the pistons in and around it?? LOL

Your best bet would be sell the pan /block and rods seperate. JMHO
