STS C5 Corvette (LS1 & LS6) rear mounted twin turbo system (866 miles on it) with upgrades and Alkycontrol methanol injection kit (new in packaging).

STS and Alkycontrol are well documented and respected so I won’t waste your time explaining how easy these kits are to install and how much usable power they produce.

You will receive the standard STS kit with the following upgrades Turbonetics T3/T04B .48 A/R polished turbos with ceramic ball bearings (the ceramic bearings are an $800 upgrade alone), dual Tial waste gates, Tial racing blow off valve, upgraded airbridge, 2 setting electronic boost controller (adjustable 0-5psi on low, 0-15psi on high), high flow injectors, predator custom programmer, and quad exhaust.

You will also receive the Alkycontrol methanol injection kit with the correct adapter to mate directly to the STS fittings. This kit is still in the original packaging.

The STS kit includes the instruction manual and I have permanently labeled all of the electrical connections for an easier install. Also due to the complaints of the STS oil return fitting popping off of the oil cap, you will receive a custom valve cover which has been tapped and threaded in order for the oil to be returned more securely (and cleanly). Now there is no need to tap your plastic oil cap.


Ok, so here is the history of the kit and the reason it is for sale. I purchased the STS kit from Vince Lung (Lung Automotive, 860 W. State St., Lehi, UT 84043) in the summer of 2010. They installed it on a customer’s C5 and from my understanding the engine was either over revved or over boosted during a drag run and the engine crank failed. The STS kit was professionally removed by Lung Automotive and sold to me in order for the customer to pay for an engine rebuild. I received the complete kit (mostly still assembled for an easy install) except for the oil supply adapter plate that bolts up to the factory filter housing (this part costs $52.00 from STS). I was going to install the kit on my 2002 Z06 with the additional methanol kit for added safety. I was going to set the 2 stage boost controller to about 3 psi without the methanol (to conserve methanol) for normal driving and then about 6-7psi with the methanol kit activated for “fun” driving. This is a great option and only requires a flip of a button on the 2 stage boost controller. Well, the wife ended up using the Z06 as her daily driver and I then installed a 405 HP Hemi in my 2007 Jeep Wrangler for me. Needless to say, the wife doesn’t need another 200 HP in the Z06 and I have placed the kit up for sale.

Originally, the STS kit with upgrades is about $8,800 depending on the dealer (do not confuse this with the base $6,900 kit) and the Alkycontrol is another $700.

I am offering everything shipped to your door (in the contiguous US) for $6500 (shipping is a killer with all the large parts). If you are not interested in the Alkycontrol, I can separate, but would rather not due to the fact the fittings are set up for the STS kit. Serious offers considered.

I also have a new in the box, ECS Trans/Rear Differential Brace (originally $416) available for sale. If you are buying the kit and want the brace, I can make you a great deal.

What makes the injection kit specific to the STS system? Progressive? Does it use the windshild wiper reservoir?

The only reason this kit is "currently" specific to the STS system, is that I had one of the nozzle/fittings changed when I ordered the kit from Alky Control. This fitting makes the kit a little easier to install with the STS system as it threads into one of the STS fittings. If this kit is used without the STS turbos, the orginal nozzle can be ordered from Alky Control.

The kit is progressive with a control box for adjustment inside the cab. It does use the windshield wiper reservoir, but a seperate tank can be installed if you wish. I urge you to read all the in depth explanations on the kit that Alky Control has on the website. Also give the owner a call, he is very knowledgeable and friendly (at least in my experience) .
