Painting my Front End...
I'm Having someone paint my front end. He's done work for me before and I have no complaints, he does great work. Im getting the Front Bumper and hood re-painted. its gonna cost about $1000 he said. My question is how do you guys keep your front end from getting road rash, without a bra? Is the 3m clear spray any good? clear vinyl?

good lord that sounds like an awful lot of cash to paint a hood and a bumper. I ran into a guy the other day with the clear bra stuff and he swore by it.

I just had XPEL Ultimate clear put on my wife's new Ruby Red 2014 Mustang GT & I'm real happy with the way it turned out. If you think Corvettes are prone for front end chips you should see Mustangs; the front is as flat as a barn door & catches everything.

Can't help you on what to apply to prevent chips but I'd offer that you might want to find another painter. I had a hood, flared quarters and a spoiler all painted and installed for $1490.00. Good luck

I have the 3M clear bra installed on my car and it does a great job protecting the paint.
