If you look real close... especially at the last pic, you'll see a couple of screws that it's attached by....

Hi Steve - Actually glad you brought that to my attention. This was actually on the car when I purchased it and I certainly don't want to mislead anyone.
I did some research and I'm 99% sure this is real carbon fiber. I'm going to add a couple more pictures showing that it is woven on both sides. I believe they
called this a tiger twill carbon pattern. I believe at one time it was once offered by WCC and others for around $489. It includes the mounting hardware and screws.
