car is a 2000 a4 it has 3:42 and protourqe 2400 stall. any advice on changing shift points car seems to be sluggish on the freeway after 55mph. i mean real slugish. on the street its fast. what gives. any help would be greatly helpfull. thanks in advance
Are you sure your converter is locking up on the highway? Try this, after the car is fully warmed up. Check transmission temperature when experiencing the problem at 55-60, and compare that to what you are reading when cruising normally around town. Is it lots higher at highway speed? It shouldn't be.

1-2 Upshift MPH 41
2-3 Upshift MPH 80
3-4 Upshift MPH 130
2-1 downshift 36
