Default EFILive7 quick tune

Just came back from the dyno and first EFIlive7 session
Mustang Dyno (NOT Dynajet) - Mustang will read about 10% less than a Dynojet 246 (from what I've been told)

2004 Z06, 6040 miles, stock everything.

Baseline: 314.9 hp, 314.5 tq - car was running very rich (11.68 at +-5000rpm)

Best: 323.4 hp, 321.9 tq - After bringing AF to 12.75 across the board, advancing spark to 25

Delta: 8.5 hp, 7.4 tq

Was running really nice, and could have leaned out more, advanced spark more, but this was a really good first tune and I'm happy with the results

Approximate crank hp at baseline is 410 and at best is 422 with the above numbers.

Those are some good solid numbers.

Are engine mods in your future????

Gotta do the safety (seat, rollbar, harnesses) first; Then the oil cooler/radiator and probably brake ducts; then wheels/tires for the track; once I learn how to really drive, then I'll be putting in some motor mods - maybe cam, intake, headers...

Car is already plenty fast and I'm still learning to drive it.

I am trying to get him into a nice CAM (nothing radical), valve train and Headers that would be good for the SCCA racing

This was a quick tune and not making changes using LTFTs, or VE Table. Only changes today were for WOT where I got rid of a small knock. If we had more time I know we could have hit 430 no problem or more. But since he does the scca racing I wanted RELIABLE HP not DYNO Queen HP. He was pushing 25 degrees, and a/f hitting 12.9 set at 13 and zero KR.

Gotta love EFI V7 tuner, now when I change the PE VS RPM a/f ratio, and tell it I want 12.5, 12.75( rounded up to 12.8) or 13 it did just that. Doing the same with my GTO using Ls1edit I went throught 9 iterations that resulted in a/f doing everything but what I told it. What a difference. BIG Recommendation for EFI.

Actually, I'm not racing SCCA, just doing some spirited driving at DE's, but running right rather than so rich is just better. Thanks for the tune, Derrick!

Oh, forgot to mention CAGS is *poof* gone!
And my fans are programmed to come on at 180 and 190 now, so my coolant temps will be somewhat better...
