I Need Help On Deciding On Wich Water Pump Would Be The Best, Either The Evans Mech High Flow, Mezz Electric.
I Am Building My 382 With A F-1 Blower, I Was Told Buy Ecs That The Mechanical Type Cant Hold Together With The Force Of The F-1, They Told Me They Shattered Pupms And Pulleys, They Also Said There Not Great Fans Of The Electric Pump But At Least It Rids Your Problems Of Another Broken Part To Deal With. Is The Csr Or Mezz Electric Suffiecent For High Horse Power Motors? Someone Out There Has To Have The Scoop.
The Evans bosts 68gpm over the 55gpm Mezziere but doesn't tell you at what rpm. I ordered the Mezziere and got it last week, polished. It's a pretty piece, $489 with a 160 stat through T Byrnes GP. The price of the Evans with their waterless $$$ fluid and $$$ cleaner had me laughing. You gain hp with the electric, and you are probably losing hp with the 68 gpm rate on the Evans. With the dummy pulley on the Mez you can easily run all your accessories with no need for a special belt. Make it easy on yourself. My 2 cents....
The pump is the least of your issues with this setup. Start looking for a way to get rid of all the extra heat at higher boosted rates (Radiator sizing)
