Replacing Computer
I've taken out the stock computer and am replacing it with another.
What are the instructions for putting in a new computer?
Turn the key and wait 30 seconds????

You should be able to just dis connect the batt terminals plug the pcm in and re connect everything.No waiting but i would drive easy for awhile to make sure it is all kosh.Btw you have a pm!!

If the new computer has a different tune, e.g. 2002 flash in a 1999, you may have to do a CASE LEARN, which is the crankshaft sensor position. Most aftermarket places can do it for about $40.

Actually I did this after installing my supercharger. There is an extensive procedure to make the PCM re-learn the security for the car. Mine cam with instructions for doing it. If you change the computer and then the car just starts and runs for about 1 sec then turns off, then you have to do the relearn procedure. I don't remember the procedure exactly, but it was something like turning the key on for 5 minutes, then attempt to start the car. Then repeating this process 3 times, and the third time the car will actually stay running. I felt stupid when I didn't read the instructions and called the vendor to say my computer didn't work....
