I know that logging important data while experiencing real on the road loads on the car and over some period of time is the best way to take a good dyno tune and make it better over time.....actually optimal over time.
My question is how do I do this? Through the ODB Port under the steering column? What exactly do I need?
I would really like to accomplish this by using a PALM with the cable and software instead of a full laptop, etc.
Can someone help out an uniformed member here?????
EFILive has a scanner which utilizes a "black box" smaller than a pack of cigarettes. It will hold about 30 minutes of data, which can be downloaded to your PC.
I am not familiar with the Palm scanner, but I don't see why it wouldn't log data. Maybe someone who is familiar with the Palm variety will chime in here.
I think it's pretty important who's using what in your area or circle of buds you trust.. Help is easier to get when using the same software.. IMO, the great majority are either using HP or EFI..
EFI being what I use and it's second to none in logging.. plus you can log w/ it's box and check stuff out w/o a laptop.
