I've done some searches, but I can't find anything like this on the forums or otherwise. I've been playing around trying to read some information from my PCM using made-from-scratch software (i.e., not using a scanner or overpriced editting utilities).
Does any documentation exist that explains how to interface with the PCM? Any lists of PCM memory locations for various information? I don't really want to poke around in the dark much more.
You might find this interesting as just some tidbits of information.
I have never tried to do it myself, but I believe all the communication protocols for OBDII are documented in SAE J1979. So, you might try getting a copy of that.

(they used to run a forum dedicated to hacking PCM's, but that one no longer exists; however, much of that info was moved to the HPT forum)
