Default PCM Tuning

Just curious, when I had all my mods done I sent my PCM to Ed Wright @ Fast Chip for a tune. They charge about $400 and the tune was great no problems but anytime I need to change something it costs me another $150. Can you buy a new PCM and have a local tune for supercharger and such and if you do that it should allow you to tune youself if you know how to do it right......anybody ever done that in NC.

Also what is cost of new PCM.....Thanks for any help. Sometime I'm going to learn how to program my own unit and tweak as needed.

Did Ed Wright lock your PCM? If so, your PCM can be unlocked/reprogrammed with a stock base map and you can alter it as you see fit.

Cheers,

Chances are Ed locked your PCM. You can have a dealer reflash it back to stock and start over with a tuner that will offer free updates. I do offer free updates for the life you own the car. I'm very reasonable and just down the road in SC. Email me at: dtsngit@bellsouth.net if you want to discuss.
