Flashed Computer????
I have a question for the all mighty forum. I had the fuel gauge issue where it was misreading saying it was near empty when full and vice versa. Well I took it to the dealer and they said the fuel sending unit was bad, so they replaced it. However I am wondering if they would have need to update the computer in the car, because I went out crusing Saturday night and was in a downtown setting were the car normally gets no hotter than 190, with the 160 thermostat, however it reached 225. And that leads me to believe they flashed my computer and reset my fan's to come on at the factory settings.
If this is true, will I basically be SOL with my programmer? Or will I be able to reset the fans and restore the performance tune setting?
Any info/feedback will be greatly appreciated.

If there were any outstanding recalls for your car that required a PCM flash or update the dealership has to do it unless you opt out in writing. You probably had the column lock recall flash done and wiped out your old calibrations.

So my next question would be if my stuff got wiped out, will I be able to use the Predator Programmer to reset them or does the programmer end up becoming a paper weight?
