I am having an awful squeak coming from the engine area on my 99 c5. I have taken my car to my local chevy dealer and they cant seem to figure out the problem. They have replaced all the pulleys and have put 2 new belts on and there still is a squeak. They ordered a gator belt of the 16th of December and it still hasnt came in. I am wondering if anyone has had this similar problem. What can be done to fix this problem? Thanks for any and all help.
I have a 98 A4 and have an intermittent squeaky noise as well--Sounds like a belt squeak---But it is not --I tried lubing the belt as a test-no change---What I have decided it is sounds weird--but I have a cam & heads car with many mods--So my LTFT's are always in a constant state of change---It seems it squeaks when the computer is trying to adjust the LTFT's after an adjustment I made on my tune ( I have EFILIVE) or after a major weather change. The squeak sounds like it is coming from the throttle body. After driving for 50 miles or so and the STFT & LTFT get back in line--it goes away---It only does it at idle---both in park/neutral and in gear-----Normal driving RPM's--no squeak----Is this what you have ????
If you have a modded car it could be the same squeak I'm hearing---Dealer says I am smoking crack as it never does it when I take it to them and they know I have a cam so they don't even want to talk to me--I just let it squeak--it is annoying but always goes away after awhile--I don't see where it hurts anything----
