Default Noob question

I tried a search but didnt find a tread comparing the two. After I get my long tubes on I am going to get a tune, but I have a chioce between two tuners. One uses LS1edit and the other uses HP and both use dynojets. I know it mostly comes down to the tuner himself, but saying they are equaly good tuners which software will produce a better tune? From what I have read everyone says LS1edit is dated. Again sorry for the noob question if its this has been covered before. Thanks.

I researched the big 3 quite extensively before purchasing. I wanted to buy the unlimited tunes version of either ones. HP Tuners,LS1 EDIT or EFILIVE---My choice by far was EFILIVE. I found them to be more current and more up to date on all the different engines.Their tables and graphics are much easier to read and each table has a brief descrription of what it does.Apprx. 450 to 500 tables-Very thorough. And their support is excellent--Always someone (my trainer) is just a phone call away 7 days a week and the Company uses E-mails to answer questions and deal with issues with a call back within 24 hours.
That being said--I would choose HP tuners 2nd for the reasons you mentioned above over LS1 Edit

I would like to know too! My current H/C car has been tuned w/Ls1 edit, I would like to know if going w/HP's or EFi would give me a better tune or more power??

I am going with the guy who uses HP. I went and watched him tune and he knows his stuff and he is less than 5 mins from my house whereas the other tuner is over an hour away.

Anyone who uses hptuners has access to it real time tuning capabilities which has shown to be very useful during tuning...instead of having to shut off the vehicle to flash in a new tune just keep it on the rollers & adjust cell by cell until you find the optimum point. Saving the tuner time & producing a better tune in the end since you can see the results in real time.
