Default P1415

This is my first Corvette, so please excuse my ingorance (2003 LS1). 2 questions.

1. Has anybody had experience troubleshooting, or fixing a P1415 code? I researched as much as I could online, and came up with something in airbank 1...O2 sensor maybe?

2. I've searched my car for the key that goes to the locking lug on a
Z06 rim. I've looked everywhere including all of the back compartments. The dealer I bought it from does not have it, nor are they being very helpful. How can I obtain a new key? They mentioned a card that comes with the rim that you mail in the event of a lost key, but I don't have a card either. Thanks for any info provided.

P1415 is a code for the secondary air system bank 1 (driver's side) Usually this is a bad air pump check valve or a hose that has come off or that is torn/cracked----also check the hose that connects to the air filter assembly---The check valves are not expensive but most of the time can just be cleaned with brake clean and will work again---Also clean the air tube on the exhaust manifold as they become clogged with carbon also.

how does the ecm know that the air is not being pumped into the exhaust? Doesnt the AIR pump only run for like a minute at startup to help light off the cats? The only way I could see the ecm knowing is if they had a really tight tolerance of what the AFR can be during the time period when the AIR pump should be pumping air into the exhaust, and if the AFR goes more rich than some threshold during this time, it trips a code?

I ask because I disconnected my AIR pump's wiring harness to see if it would trip a code and sure enough, about two or three cold starts later I had a check engine light. Can you explain how the ECU knows? I want to remove my AIR system, but I dont want check engine lights
