Default fan temps
installing 160 degree themostat would like to know best temps to turn on and turn off for the 160 themostat. thanks, jim

Having a 160* stat means that the stat will start to open when the water temp reaches 160*. My car runs about 176*-178* with a 160* stat. I have my fans set at:

Fan 1 on: 185*
Fan 1 off: 180*
Fan 2 on: 195*
Fan 2 off: 190*

I use a 6* hysteresis rate, as seen here. Too low of a turn off temp will keep them running.
