Default predator downshifting not the same

I have and 04 A4 with 3.42 gears. I just got my predator back from getting a software update. Now with the new tune in the car and the same upshift mph and downshift mph the car doesn't downshift like it used to making the car feel much slower then it used to. When driving like 35-45mph if I would get on it hard it would downshift down to first gear, now that doesn't seem to happen anymore. The stock tune with my 2.73 gears would do this and the old predator software with my 2.73 and 3.42 gears would do this. I don't know if it has to do with the torque management settings or something else but definately not the same as before. My upshift and down shift mph were reduced by 25%. And I entered 2.73 as original gears and used the slide gear setting to select 3.42.

Any ideas of what to change to fix this?

thanks,
Mike

Are you talking about the upshift/downshift settings for WOT or for part throttle ?---When tuning afor Up/dwn at WOT I always set the 1-2 and the 2-1 MPH to be the same-----and the 2-3 and 3-2 to have a 1 MPH split---the 3-4 is not as important but i set it like at 120/100
for example with my 3.15 A4 , I have the WOT up/dwn set like this:
1-2 set at 41 2-1 set at 41
2-3 set at 71 3-2 set at 70
3-4 set at 120 4-3 set at 100

This type of setting will make it downshift from 3rd to 1st as i believe this is what you are wanting ot to do--when you are cruising in the 35-45 range
At part throttle that is a whole different thing--If you set both the up/dwn part throttle settings at -25%-try setting the splits somewhat closer by adding back 10-15% to the downshift tables
Also--there is no need to adjust the speedo when changing gears as the pick-up sensor is on the output side ot the differential and not the output side of the trans---so if you tried to correct the speedo then that could have messed up all your shiftpoints as the speedo is wrong-set the speedo tables back to stock--

Thanks. I will try the settings you mentioned. I do not have control over part throttle shift points with the predator and the 3->4 up and down shift are locked at 150mph and are not adjustable on the predator. I just had the predator software updated to the latest version so I guess they just don't allow for these changes. I would think these should be adjustable parameters. I won't have a change to try this for a few days but I will post the results. And yes it is the 3 to 1 downshift that I lost with the current settings I have. I think my current 1-2 upshift is 34mph and downshift is 32mph, much lower then you said to set it at.
