Looking into setting up a HP Tuner for my 99 Coupe. Has any one used this before? Trying to find out what can you do with this program? Is it easy to use on a daily tune up or down? Would like to be able at the track to tune several things to keep car in ET bracket?
I'm now running 13.00 and want to run in the 12.90 index range with a few more mods. I want to be able to run in the 12.50 range and be able to adjust to weather and track cond. to stay around 12.90"s with a 1/10 breakout. The summer heat and humidity slows me down about 3-4 /10s, so I need a little room to play with. This will also let me run in a few different classes...
Also where is the best place and price to buy?
Any help or comments would be appreciated... Thanks Daniel
Yes, it is all you will ever need. it will do more than you probably will come to fully understand . Synergy I think is trying to get up some buyers for their buy in as an HP reseller, so check with them.
I use HP Tuner on my 99'. HP Tuner and EFI Live are both great tuners. What made me go with HPT is the fact that most tuners use it and I could get a mail order tune to get me started with my S/C set-up, since I didn't want to take a chance to experiemnt with boost right of the bat.
You can scan and tune everything on the motor, transmission (A4), coolant fans, check for codes, and turn on and off which ever ones you want to use. And even do some Real Time changes.
We also have developed a "Bracket Tune" for HP Tuners. It puts the emphasis on consistancy, not max power. We commonly run 4-5 runs with only a few thou variance in the cars that run this tune. We run all over the Eastern US bracket racing C5's.
