Just got my A4 C5 back from an "Econo Tune" by a local programmer. My typical 54 mile drive home via mainly 2 lane country road with some stoplights has averaged 26 MPG. Today after picking up the car got 30.4 MPG as my average. Of course I also had a 160 degree thermostat added and thus the fans resync'd and the A4 tranny shift points tightened. I'm pretty darn happy.
Congrats----I would think that the A4 programming had more to do with the mileage than the engine tuning--Aren't these cars amazing ???
30 MPG---0-60 in 4-5 seconds---top speed on 175+---awesome brakes-- A great piece of yankee engineering !!!!!!!!!
I'm interested in doing something similar and I'm in the SD area as well. Do you mind PM'ing me the final cost for everything that you did. It would be helpful for myself if I decide to go that route in the not to distant future. Thanks.

Will PM you once I get a bill from my mechanic. Guy did the work, I've had the car since Friday and he's still not got the bill ready. Wonder if I should be worried
Actually, he's a great mech, shop in Temecula near my office. He's just too busy working on his chopper to get around to the paperwork!
