Your doing nothing wrong, it's the junk hypertech. My Z28 I had years ago was kinda doing the same thing with the hypertech and then it scrambled the pcm. It done this two times. Since then I have heard nothing but bad about the hypertech so do yourself a favor and sell that thing before it scrambles your computer. I didn't even sell the one I had because I didn't want anybody else to go through the crap I did. It found a new home in the trash can

p.s. what programmer is the best to fix did problem????
well for a while I had the superchips for my vette but honestly it was pretty much a waste of money. I gave 400 bucks for the superchips programmer. I was able to change spedo and shift pints and fan settings but I didn't notice any power gain at all. I ended up selling the programmer and bought EFI Live for 170 bucks more. Now that is a sweet software, you can change anything ya want and you can also get a reallyb nice power gain also even on a stock engine. I went through the same thing with hypertech when I called them about my camaro after it scrambled the pcm. The first time it screwed up the pcm the dealer was able to program the pcm back to stock but the second time it fried the pcm. Hypertech tried to blame me. I felt like reaching through the phone and choking that guy

they did call me today and said that the want my car monday, they are going to try and find whats wrong with it , will see what happend i keep you posted
I wouldn't let them touch the car since the car isn't the problem. They need to see what is wrong with their program in the hypertech. If there was a problem with the car it would also have the same problem with the stock tune. If they just keep tryin to install their screwed up tune I'm betting it will scramble the pcm. All it takes is the battery getting low on volts to make it scramble. I guess I just don't like the idea of them flashing in a tune that isn't calibrated properly. I would have to say that these guys really have no idea what their doing. Computer will fail because of them and then they will say it must of been the pcm causing the problem.
