installed brand new predator performance tune in my 2002 stock auto C-5 and had a check engine light that would not turn off..car ran exceptionally well with performance tune, but could not get rid of check engine light..anyone know why this is or how to remedy it? thanks
joe
Use the predator to read the code (write it down) and then use the predator to clear the code. If it comes back you will know what to troubleshoot from the code it reads.
thanks to the person that responded (BEER)..i like to follow up when i get help, so i put the predator tune back in and this time it did not light up the CEL so i drove it for a while and then used the predator to scan for trouble codes and found none..so if this helps anyone, it was worth my time..

So you installed the program twice then? How do you like the tune overall? Is it worth the money?
actually, at this stage i am satisfied with the tune, mainly because my racing days are over and this is a stock auto..i think the benefits will really be when i start to learn logging and then am able to adjust the fuel trim the way we used to do it, on the road..it is quicker and shifts more precisely now..

Cool. Did you remove the torque management also? Mine is pretty much stock too, other than a Blackwing, which is why I'm asking. Was it pretty straightforward/easy to do the basic tune so far? Thanks.
the install was straight forward, plug the tool into the diagnostic port and follow the on-screen instructions..the tool does it all..i cannot tell you what changes it made, i simply installed the "predator tune" and let it go at that..i did notice my 1st and 2nd shifts are quicker with a tire chirp that i never had before and it is more responsive in the city without the lag time it usually had when stepping on the gas..hope this helps..

Any info on it helps. What gears do you have, btw? Thanks again.
i just looked at my build sheet and it shows a 2.73 axle so i guess this is the stock offering..i too, have the blackwing and also have added dynaflow cat-back exhaust..except for the future logging and fuel trim changes, this should be it for me...i have a convertible also, but i also have a removable hardtop and when it is on it looks like a z06..just does not run like one..take care
