Results of my ECS Mail Order Tune....
2002 Z06 79,000 miles
TPIS headers, Hi flow cats & X-pipe
Halltech Venom
First, I wanna thank Chris for answering my questions and for great service. I paid around $20. or so to get my computer to him in 3 days USPS and a a few more bucks to get it back in about the same time. Last Friday I sent it, and today (Friday) its back in the car.
What I noticed before most was a sort of a "dead spot" in the acceleration of my car at lower RPM under load. Thats gone! I had a stupid CEL because of the Halltech Venom, Thats gone too! Idle quality is much better now as well. What I notice for the most part now is more responsive acceleration and more power down low as well as in 5th. If I "goose" it a little in any gear really, its really quick to react. I put in the 160* stat and shes running cool as a cucumber. It was 91* ambient temperature and it was cruising along at 174-178*. The hottest I saw it get while standing still and a little heat soaked was 201*
If youre thinking about doing this to your bolt on C5, go out to the garage, remove the right front wheel and about a dozen little bolts and ship it out to ECS!!! Youll be glad you did!
Thanks again ECS!

I would need to data logg, there might be a problem somewhere, possibly false not if you are not hearing audable knock? It certainly should not feel "dead" up top.
