Had one before for the vette and CTS-V, great for killing CAGS, adjusting the fans, and quick tune of your fuel
trims for hwy economy. The performance tune is not bad but nothing like a real road/dyno tune.
yeah, once you have one, you would install the diablo tune, put on some miles, then just do some data logs, logging specific parameters... and then you'd send the logs and copies of your tune files to a tuner and pay 'em to make you a custom tune for your car...
they would make you a custom tune file with all their tweaks/adjustments, and then email you that new custom tune file... then you import it to your predator, and then install it to your car...
I have tuned many cars and the street tune works great. The important thing is use a wideband before adjusting any of the WOT parameters. On my Vette, I gained 20 rwhp and the throttle response is greatly improved. Where are you located?
A local shop charges $100 an hour to use there dyno. I used my predator to tune with. I got an additional 11 RWHP over what I already had. Cost me $100. The real reason I went in the first place was to check the timing on a 100 wet shot. The 11 additional rwhp was just a bonus.
ok so should i go with diablo or trifecta? and on the diablo do i have to adjust the timing and everything myself or does it come with all that stuff done?
both are under 350
do i send them back the datalogs? and they adjust it or do i get some1 else to adjust it?
do z06's come running rich from the factory? it would be nice to pick up a few more mpg
yes, it's rich from the factory, but the diablo tunes will lean it some for ya...
no, you do the datalogging and adjusting yourself... or pay to get a custom tune done... then you'd send the person doing the tuning your log files, and also copies of your original backup tune and a copy of the current diablo tune that you installed in your car... they will also tweak a bunch of other stuff besides just the fueling as well... I have done many of them...
