Default Predetor

My Diablo served me well for my bolt ons, even got a cutom tune for my TC. I'm now going to do H/C ect, so I must get a steet/dyno tune for those mods.
I apperently will be able to still use my predetor once I get a new Dyno tune.
I know that before the new tune I must return my Diablo program to it's original tune. Then I could use my Diablo to do some adjustments to my new tune that will now be my original tune ??????

Can someone confirm this and tell me exactly what I should do and will be able to do.

My new tuner his like 4+ hrs away so if some stuff IE; **** points need to be adjusted Will I be able to do this.

you need to restore the original backup stock tune to your vehicle...

to do that, hook up to your car... and go to options > troubleshooting > restore original backup...

now, what revision is your predator on?? because old old revisions do not unlock, even if you restore the original backup.

when the predator boots up and is at the main menu, there's a number at the top of the screen... that's the revision number... what is it? if it's on an old 1.xx revision, then it will not unlock...

if it's on a 2.xx or 9rxx revision, then it will unlock after you do the restore original backup process, and you'll be good to go.

then, after you get the dyno tune done, depending on what they use to do it, you can use the predator to save that as the "original backup" and make adjustments using your predator...

if they use hp tuners or the like, with the custom O/S install, you will not be able to use the predator on it...

if they are a diablo CMR dealer and doing a custom tune for ya, they can just put it on the predator for you...

The car is in storge at this time , but I have a note on file that it was revised to 2.13 could that be correct 2.13 ?
If so you say it will unlock after I restor the original tune and I'll be good to go. Go to what ,do the new dyno tune .

If the revision is not 2xx or 9xx what then.

I will contact my tuner to find out what software he will be using

Many thanks for you speedy reply.

yes, 2.13 is a correct revision number for that model predator...

so, then after the "restore original backup" was done, the predator will be unlocked...

then, you can go get your dyno tune...

H P tuner will be used for my new tune, therfore my predetor will now be useless for my car.
Being unlocked can it now be used on an other C5 ?

As for a Diablo compatable dyno tuner , is there one/any in the Toronto Montreal area , CANADA.

yes, once it's unlocked, it can be used on another supported vehicle...

Did we not had to send it in, in the past to reregister it to be used on an other car. Are you saying that it will now work fine on an other stock car whitout paying for new registration.

Again thanks for the speedy replies I greately appreciate it. The after sale service is again excellent.

correct... on that 2.13 revision yours is on... after you do the "restore original backup" process to your car, it will be unlocked, and it will be able to be used on another supported vehicle...

no need to send it in anywhere, or pay for any new registration...
