Default Tuning question

Thanks to everyone that has been helping me with this. Here is where I am at:

SD tune done: all LTFT's less than +-5
WOT tune done: used a wideband, seeing between 12.8-13.2

My MAF tune is the only thing that didn't go so well. I could never figure out how to calibrate it. The problem was that say for 4k RPM, the LTFT would be negative for low map, and positive for high map. How do you adjust for something like that? In other words, for a given RPM, it went green to red as the map increased. I just added to the MAF table to get rid of the red, and now I am negative (up to -10) at low map, and then I go maybe to +1 at high map for a given RPM.

How did you do your MAF tune? If you make trim / afr error corrections to each maf cell, it works perfectly. RPM has nothing to do with it, other than to generate airflow.

Im confused. You said you did a SD tune, and now your tuning your MAF.

Did you disable the MAF and tune the VE table? is that what you mean by SD tune?

yes, I turned the maf off, and corrected the ve table. The table was showing mostly zeros, with some 1's and 2's.

Then I turned the maf back on. Some people use maf only, others say since the ve is good, you can correct the maf with the ve being used.

Lets use 4k RPM for an example. When my maf is turned off, the LTFT's are almost all zeros and 1 -1. So as soon as I turn my maf back on, my LTFT's go from green at low map, to red at high map. As far as I know, I can only make an ajustment for a given RPM, not MAP...is that righ?

What histogram are you using to do your MAF? You should be ploting it against MAF HZ.

You aren't using a SD tune--If you are using a MAF tune--What you did was disable the MAF to make VE table corrections--which is the right thing to do---To correct the LTFT's use must use a PID or scan "map" that has the MAF table in HZ on one side and either RPM or manifold map on the other--- the data should be LTFT --do both left and right sides and use the highest one ---THEN you can make corrections to the LFT's using the MAF table --i aways use the MAF table to make correction for small adjustments like around 10% It fast and changes happen immediately
This way you can make the LTFT adjustments EXACTLY where they are needed and not just globally like you're doing--thts why you are all over the place with your LTFT's REMEMBER-- whatever the LTFT's are just before going to PE if they are positive--will be added to your WOT fueling-- as a safety- making it richer and lazy--If you have a negative LTFT it will lock on "0" thts why you always want your LTFT's to be "0" or slightly negative---
