Have you went to your device manager and made sure it's assigned to the right comm port?
PM'd
I will try to check the com port assignment - but nowhere does it tell you what com port to use - if you can only use one? It doesn't load the driver initially - until the USB cable is connected from the FlashScan V2 device - far as I can tell. So when you plug it in - on whatever com port - it loads the driver - at least that is what I have observed so far?

Thanks for the reply !!
If it's recognizing it when you plug it in, and self installing the driver, that sounds like it's working correctly.
Does it complete the driver install, and give you the dialog box which says so? Then what do you do, and what does it say?
When I had trouble with mine, There a guy in L.A. ,He was one of the guys who wrote the scan tool. www.Fishtuning.com There is some little thing you are doing wrong!
The OBDII port has a fuse---If the fuse is blown you will get a "no cable"--or " no device" message--- GM hides the fuse--it's the cigarette lighter fuse----Many times with cell chargers and alike this fuse blows--
