REAR 02 needed ????
my car came to me with no rear o2 sensors. i plan to go boosted in the future and get it dyno tuned. i was just wondering if it would make for a better tune or easier to tune with rear 02s.
btw it is a new 408 with brand new front 02s. thanks

NO the rears have nothing to do with HOW the engine operates--and most likely with a boosted eng the tuner will not use the "closed loop system" anyway and opt for a SD or OLSD tune--
The rear 02's ONLY report on the condition of your cats--If they get overheated the COT system will kick in and richen up the AFR to cool them---Most tuners turn off this feature anyway as it is a gas mileage killer---I always tuen off the COT even on a stockish car--Never have had anyone burn up or destroy their cats---
You will have to turn OFF all the appropriate DTC enablers to get rid of those annoying codes--
