I am in the process of tuning the VE table and so far all is well, just a slow process. I decided to look at some of the spark tables to see how the spark was doing. When going through the logs and tune, I noticed that all my spark tables were running in the max OZ/Cylinder column of042. When logging the timing seems to fluctuate like it should. It usually runs in the low 30s when cruising. I can't find where the timing is coming from. None of the tables show the timing calling for the 30 degrees that I see. Any help would be appreciated. I have searched the efilive forum and asked the question there also. So far, I can't find the answer to where my time is coming from and why it shows up in the max column of the timing tables. The rpm move around in the tables as it should. Using V2 7.5 efilive flashscan with LM2.
My tune that I started with was done by a local tuner. For some reason he tuned it with the wrong injector data and I had to change that and make the VE table work with it. Not sure how he was tuning the spark. I was going to attach my tune and log but can't seem to be able to. I could use help with that also or I could email them to anyone willing to help.
I have:
01Z06 347, A4 APS TT, 205 AFR heads, 60# motrons
9.6 to 10 or so compression
cam 214/230-600/600 on a 117 ls
Tuning SD without NBO2's and without MAF
Thanks
Ronnie

Added timing different than the commanded "high octane table" can come from the the ECT (coolant) timing adds/deducts
When the ECT is cold it is ADDING timing up to apprx 120* about 2-3* but down around 60* it can add as much as 4*
Take a look also ( with your SD tune) at the "charge temp blending" table- not sure if this table affects timing or not but it affects fueling of the VE table--so important with a VE tune---

Thanks. Found the problem after a few post back and forth on the efilive forum. It was a matter of changing some PIDs to metric and selecting the correct PIDs.
