Mods/Upgrade Suggestions

Headers would be a good next step. I would consider upgrading to a newer computer and getting a good tune as well. Repining to a new comp isnt cheap from what I hear. Would be a good investment if you are thinking more mods down the road.

The stock 98 ECM is good for apprx 500 crank HP--so I see no need to change it to a later model unless you plan to exceed 500 HP--And even then if you ditch your stock MAF tune and get it tuned in SD or OLSD mode the HP potential is limitless
The reason some opt for a later ECM is beacuse the 98 MAF table only goes up to 11250 hz where as the newer ones go up to 12500hz --as an example my car with apprx 475 RWHP still is under 11250hz ( 10000) so i am just under and OK--
If your car is an A4 to me by far the best mod you can do is a stall converter----something at least 2800-3000 will make it a beast and can lower your 1/4 mi ET's about 1/2 second !! without touching the engine !!
Second would be LT headers but check to se if you will have smogging issues as they are illegal in many states--- worth about 20-30 RWHP
3rd would be to get a LS6 intake--worth about 10-14 RWHP
and finally cam and heads--a mild 220ish cam and even just 243 stock Z06 heads will make another 35-40 RWHP--
