97 vette , DIC codes P1571 and P1644.
Mechanic wants to install Traction control module at $1500. Since module cannot be repaired are there later model parts that will work or is new or salvaged the only alternative?

Have you tried to alter the TCS settings in your tune ???
Do you have non stock tire sizes front or back or a different axle ratio than stock ?
Could be that your TCS is getting mis information--
You have to make the call if you want TCS for safety or not--To me I wouldn't spend $1500 on a new unit especially without having your tuner see if he can tune out the codes---Not simply deleting them but tryin to alter the settings not to trigger a code but still have the TCS work---Its simple to fix it if you don't want TCS--just changing the MAX TCS TQ value will keep it from ever working again without turning the button OFF
