I recently installed long-tube headers and had to make extensions for the O2 sensors. Now it is throwing a code. I read that it is not good to splice the wires because it will skew the reading. Also you cannot solder. I have tried everything I know to do and still no luck. I'm at my wits end and need any help or advice.
I forgot to mention that the car has been tuned and the rear O2 sensor codes have been deleted from the pcm. I had to make extensions for the engine-monitoring O2 sensors. When I installed the headers the harness got melted and I had to splice the wires. I had it tuned and then 6 months later this code was set which was strange to me because it worked fine for 6 months. I'm kind of wondering if I have it wired right.
P0134 and P0155. I just realized that the fuse has blown for the O2 sensor circuit so I replaced it but it will probably blow again. I guess I have a short somewhere.
I repaired the harness side with a part # J-38125-B and maybe I have it wired wrong. I tried to mirror the side that wasn't damaged but I'm unsure if I have it correct. Does anyone know the pin and wire color for this? It is the front O2 sensor for a C5.
