I'd like to get a commanded lamba out of HPTuners. However, in their latest version of the software, custom PIDS do not work. A simple function like:
[PID.6001]/14.63
Will result in the infamous hptuners error<usupported parameter>. In fact, that is the case with all user-defined PIDs.
As a result is their a work around for this? Or, for you EFI Live users, are there any issues creating user-defined PIDs in EFI Live? Since I have a lot more $ than time, I can certainly drop another $700 on software....if it actually works.
Anybody? Is it possible to create user-defined PIDs with the EFI Live software? I would have thought this was possible with HPTuners (it is not of course...wish I would have known that before I dropped $700 on the software), I just want to make sure it is possible with EFI Live software before I drop another bundle of $.
Custom pids are definitely doable in HPT. Read through the help or search the forums.
Yes, they are possible however there is a bug in the HPTuners software where PIDs that reference other PIDs MUST appear in the GUI table before they are used. That was the problem I was having.
For example:
Custom_Pid_That_Uses_AirFuelRatioCommand ed
Air Fuel Ratio Commanded Hi Res
Will NOT work, it must be:
Air Fuel Ratio Commanded Hi Res
Custom_Pid_That_Uses_AirFuelRatioCommand ed
Of course this makes zero sense, but it is what it is, and we'll have to work with it until they can fix it.
