Default Diff between HTPP and LS1Edit?

Are HTPP (HyperTech Power Programmer) and LS1Edit equivalent? How are they different? Why would a person use one instead of the other?

Thanks.

They HPP3 is a small hand held unit that plugs into your car and has a ready made program that allows you to make a few minor changes such as tire size, fan settings, etc.

LS1 Edit is a software package that requires a laptop and uses a cable to interface the laptop to the car. It's for more of the tweakers out there but can be used to tune and change just about any parameter of the car.
