Default Heads and Cam will make the car run Lean

or Rich? On a 2001 or later car, what usually happens? Is it safe to assume rich and thus it is safe to drive for awhile untuned?

Default Re: Heads and Cam will make the car run Lean (CJS)

Probably depends on how radical the cam is.

If the Fuel trims are not maxing out in either direction, it will run the car, at least safe, until you can performance tune it.

I know many that run with no tuning with heads/cam. I even have seen those that spray 100 dry shot with heads/cam and no tuning.
