Default ? On tunning after Mods..

I’ve got a stock 03 ls6 with longtubes that was tuned a few years ago. I’m going to be installing heads, 92 fast intake, ls2 throttle body and Brian a Tooley Stage 4 cam as well as 36# injectors. BT Racing does not sell tunes, will it be alright driving the car to the tunners shop or would does something need to be done prior to leaving my garage?

Thx and Happy New Year.

If it'll actually run with the new Injectors I'd be surprised. It will need a base tune to be driveable realistically.

It'll probably run but be rich and throw a code.

You can drive in there on stock injectors and then swap them out. It'll help with getting it to idle.

I would recommend this, also. I didn't notice in your question how far you have to drive to get to the tuner's. If not far, it's possible your car would run enough to get you there (although rich like enoniam suggested), but I still prefer JoeNova's suggestion. If your car does run realize it'll run rough, and may stall at stops. It could also throw you into the limp home mode and limit your speed to about 25mph.
Good luck with this.

I talked to my tuner and that’s what he recommended, putt8ng the stock injectors in and swapping them out at the shop. The shops only 10 or so miles away..

Thx Guys
