Almost all handheld programmers are simply vanilla generic programs They simply suck!! A real enthusiast will opt for a real tune with HP or EFILIVE tuning
These are far superior A handheld tuner maybe changes 10 of the 700 tables in your tune
A real tune using HP or EFILIVE will alter about 150 tables !!! Including on a auto trans an electronic shift kit and shift point and TCC lockup correction Trans tuning alone can make most any c5/c6 about 4-5 tenths quicker in the 1/4 mile without even addressing any engine tuning---Typically you can get maybe 10-18 RWHP with engine tuning on any Corvette
The greatest advantage with real tuning is deleting the TQ MANAGEMENT and the WOT delays Stock tuning does NOT allow the throttle body to go to WOT even if you have it floored from a dead stop--You do not get WOT til about 3600 RPM !! making your car a turd on the bottom end--A handheld cannot fix this real tuning can by making it go to WOT off idle
