Extinguishing Pull key alert without pulling key
I have a 1998 C5 Coupe. The Steering Column Lock recall has been performed.
I had a LMC5 installed as a result of repeated Pull key, wait 10 - secs alerts. It’s the correct LMC5 for my VIN according to its creator. Apparently, for my car’s birthdate, dealing with the “brown wire” is not a part of the solution for the dreaded Pull key alert returning.
I’ve had my Fuel cutoff speed adjusted with HP Tuners, so when I do get the occasional Pull key alert, I can continue without the fuel shutting off.
My question is, when I do get a Pull key alert, is there a way to extinguish the Pull key message and keep it out without pulling the key? I can cancel it by pressing the DIC Reset button, but it comes back on after a few seconds.
