I’m thinking of putting spray on my c5. When I talked with my tuner he made the comment that HPT does not have a way to retard timing when the nitrous is used. What does everyone use to retard the timing when they want to use the bottle?
There are spark modifier tables that can be used to drop timing when the nitrous turns on.
I believe the most popular is the Inlet Air Temp table.
you can use a relay and a resistor to fool the IAT then remove the timing with that table.
I bought my Nitrous Outlet kit with a Lingenfelter LNC-2000. Among several capabilities it has the capability to retard timing up to 15 degrees to match whatever shot you are using. Its a plug-and-play box that connects into the 2 factory coil pack connectors and then one wire goes to your nitrous controller to turn on whenever you arm the system. Then once the nitrous activates it pulls the set amount of timing. It wires in super easy and works awesome! I hid mine next to the windshield washer reservoir and the wire bundles dress nicely behind the intake manifold for a clean install.
Set it to retard 2 degrees for every 50 HP shot you run and it's good to go. I took my nitrous off a few months ago and still have my LNC. PM me if you want to buy it, I'll sell it for cheap.
