Default Nick Williams 103

Morning everyone, I used the search function and cannot find what I’m looking for.

Here’s the deal. 2001 Corvette 6.0 engine supercharged. BTR equalizer manifold, I have a NW 103 throttle body that’s been sent to Nick twice now to setup. He has it setup for the C5 application now. He told me I need to set the max throttle percentage for 93-94% (pedal). How do I do this in HP tuners? I’m running a custom OS for 3bar map. Right now wot tosses 4 codes and puts it into reduced power mode because the pedal keeps going down after the throttle body is fully open so it thinks there’s a tps issue.

the codes it throws are p1120 1220 1221 1518

thanks in advance.

It sounds like the NW 103 might operate similarly to an LS3 TB, because the same fix is supposed to work with those.
The blade physically rotates all the way past full open and starts to be a restriction again.

Just dig around in HPTuners until you find a table that has "max throttle position" or something like that in the table name.
The table you're looking for has an RPM axis and has 100% in all of the cells.
Changing all of the cells to 93% should fix your problem.

I’m not seeing any tables that show all the cells at 100%. Any idea under which tabs I’d find it?

Ok so I have solved the issue so far. I’m putting it on my dyno tonight to do a couple of runs and see if there’s any WOT issues. But I found the table and changed it to 93%. Idles and revs good.

so I’m going to write the rest of this to help whoever else needs this solved. I hate coming across threads where the solution was never posted.

1. the NW 103sd was designed for the C6 and up corvettes not the C5. However it can be used on the C5. Contact Nick at Williams Performance and send it to him. He will adjust the voltage and send it back to you. You just have to cover shipping. Nick is a great guy, always gets back to me.
2. You have to set the scalar at .034
3. Wot rising needs to be set at 4.1-4.2
4 you have to adjust the max throttle setting at 93%. This is because the NW TB doesn’t open as far as the stock TB.

This will solve the array of codes you will get when first hooking it up. You will get fuel codes, throttle body codes. All kinds of junk. These steps solve them all.

I've not been able to find "Nick Williams" website/contact info/support info/whatever. All I find are retail outlets that want to sell me another unit.
I've got some TB codes I'm trying to track down.
Any assist is appreciated!
