Default Question about a trouble code

Today I started my car and noticed it was idleing rough and the check engine light was flashing then it started popping (I later realized I was dumping fuel into the exhaust and it was burning inside the muffler), I shut it off and hooked up my scanner and got a P0308 mod$10 Cylinder 8 misfire, I have checked all of the obvious, plug wire is secure at both ends and the coil pack is plugged in, but I don't have any more time tonight to work on it, does anybody have any ideas where the best place to start is??? I figure I'll pull the plug and then maybe swap coil packs and plug wires but after that it's anybodys guess???? thanks for any tips you can provide. BTW it has been running great since I put the supercharger on about 4 weeks ago

Not sure if this will help, but I had the same thing happen to me on a 98. I found the wire for the fuel injector was not making a good contact in the underhood electrical center. With the car running check the voltages at the fuel injector wire harness on each cylinder. Mine did the same thing, misfire on one cylinder. I took it for a ride around the block, when I got back the cat was glowing red.... good luck...
