Forgive me for being a lost one....I think it is time to tune but don't know if I should buy an LS1 Edit and do it myself or have someone do the job for me. I figure after the 3.42's and a TC, I'm due.
I have been able to install all my mods thus far, and enjoy working on my car myself. Just don't know if this is a job left for the pro's.
Your insight is greatly appreciated.
Also does anyone know somewhere to tune in the Hampton Roads area?
For doing basic things like gears, shift points, fans etc LS1edit is pretty simple. Its when you start getting into air/fuel, changing injectors, timing etc things get a little more complicated. Not impossible, but you do have to have a basic understanding of how thes PCM works on these. Some shops that do LS1edit tuning will use your LS1 edit at a reduced rate so for 550.00 is not a bad investment, its not much more then a predetor or hpp3 and does so much more.
Thanks, appreicate the help. I'm torn between the hpp3 and an LS1 edit, mostly because of the cash. For what I need I think a hpp3 will do the job. I'd hate to pay the extra cash for something I'm not going to use.
