PCM programming 1998
Need help getting 1998 pcm programmed still. Chevy dealer had it 2 months wrecked multiple pcm’s, took it to another Chevy dealer that said they couldn’t program it. I have another used pcm west side of twin cities MN that I need help programming this. Thanks

I used to wonder why people would go through the trouble of putting 99-04 PCMs into 97-98 Corvettes. But in the last couple weeks there have been 2 other threads a lot like yours, and I think I get it now.
It's a LOT of wires to move from the old connectors to the new connectors, but when you're done you can flash it as many times as you want with basically no risk.
There's also free software (LS Droid and PCM Hammer (full disclosure: I wrote a lot of the latter)) that works with cheap hardware (OBDX is the brand to get). But only for the 99+ PCMs.
