Default Hypertech Question?

I would like to know how flexible the Fan settings are using the Programmer. I do not want to replace the thermostat but would just like to lower the fan settings a bit. I have used LT1 edit on my 1994 Pontiac Trans Am and you can set the fans at any temperature. I am a new Corvette Owner (3 days) so I don't yet know much about the LS1 so any comments would be appreciated.

Default Re: Hypertech Question? (Bob25thTA)

it's been a while since i flashed my computer, but straight from the manual, it says there are three options, 195, 180, and 160 degree thermastat settings, the 195: fan 1 turns on/off at: 227/218
fan 2 turns on/off at: 219/210
for 180: fan 1 turns on/off at: 194/185
fan 2 turns on/off at: 204/195
for 160: fan 1 turns on/off at:184/175
fan 2 turns on/off at: 195/185

I am running a 170degree thermastat, and put the setting for the 160 fans, i can not get my car to 200degrees regardless of what i'm doing, drag racing, sittind in traffic with the a/c on, nothing will heat it up over 200, trust me i've tried. What year vette, if it's a 99 i'll sell you my hypertech, most all the options are very limited and basic for the hypertech, and for the performance reasons would really like to try something different and hopefully better, the hypertech has its power program, and you load that with its settings, and that's the only performance you can get, none of the adjustable curves and such like the predator has.
