Auto-Bleed Function

Does anyone know if it is possible to use the auto bleed function for the ABS system without a TECH II tool? Is it necessary to do if you completely drain your brake system?

I don't think so, however, in 4 years of racing, including several dry systems, I have never had to bleed mine.
