After my new H/C set up, I had an IAC count of 170 at idle. So i drilled a 1/8inch in the TB. Now the IAC count is 20. The guide i had said 30-50 is the target. What if it is too low?
I'm also getting an error code P0300 (mis-fire) and EF-live states i have a problem with Injector #8. If anyone can help please do
Re: HELP!! IAC count too low! + DTV codes (ElanMike)
Don't worry about the IAC count.. if too low, that simply means that the PCM has retracted the IAC motor to a lower level. Unless that motor gets to zero, you've got nothing to worry about. If the motor were unable to go low enough, you'd have too high an idle. Don't sweat the number.
If EFI says a specific misfire, and it is repeatable, I'd look for a REAL misfire. Either have the #8 injector tested or swap it with another cylinder to see if the problem moves with it.
If you have injector issues, I'd recommend getting them all ultrasonically cleaned and flow tested.. There are several excellent places that can do that for you quickly.
