Default Basic Tune Help

Im going to be tuning my car tomorrow with LS1Edit at the shop. What are the basic things to change. Im going to be doing this myself. Im familiar with the program but what are some of the basic things to change so I can get ~5-10rwhp out of it. My mods consist of a Vararam (as of tomorrow), Ported MAF, and B&B PRTs. I know I need the IAT's set to 0. What kinda timing can I add to the car, etc..

let me know.

The first thing you will probably want to do is get the LTRIM's in line by adjusting the IFR table - try to get them slightly negative. Then do some WOT pulls on the dyno and use the PE vs. RPM tabel to lean out the AFR close to 13.0:1. Past that you may want to see if you can advance the timing 1-2 degress to see if you can pickup any more power.

Where is the best place to find information like this? Also, I need to know what all these acronyms mean.
