Are you resetting it or clearing it? You need to clear it and see if it comes back. hc is a history code.
This link is to a code finder. http://www.autotap.com/codes.asp
when to the track last night and made two passes, then this came up 99hvac b0361hc .........
B0361 refers to the left ait temperature actuator. The HVAC control module commands the air temperature actuators to move by controlling the voltage on the control circuit. The HVAC module has detected the signal is less than 0.09V for B0361. A default value is used by the HVAC module in an attempt to maintain the air temperature selected by the driver.
A disconnected or broken door may also set this code by allowing the actuator to travel to it's internal stops.
ok thanks. here the four codes b 0361, bo441,p1111, and po 113 is this something i need to take a trip to the dealership for??? thanks mc
The B0361 code is most likely related to the B0441 code. B0441 is for the left air temperature actuator and the DTC is set when the HVAC control module cannot determine the actuator's position.
P1111 and P0113 relate to the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor detecting an extremely low air temperature (less than minus 36 degrees F).
I was in College Station yesterday and I doubt if Houston was that cold.
The problem with the IAT could be a short or the IAT may be "skewed" in the service manual's language. The IAT is the "Mass Air Flow/Intake Air Temperature" (MAF/IAT) sensor located In the intake (front of engine). You might check for loose/twisted wires.
As it could effect driveability, you might want to get it checked.
