I would recommend a good longtube header setup and a good dyno tune via ls1 edit.

THANKS FOR THE IMPUT

ANY RECOMMENDATION ON WHAT MANUFACTURER OF LONG TUBE HEADER.

HOW BENEFICIAL WOULD THE LS 1 MOD BE. ANY THOUGHTS OF WHAT TYPE OF POWER GAIN. ALSO IT SEEMS THERE ARE MANY PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED WITH THE LS1 EDIT PROGRAM. WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS?

I'd recommend turning off your caps.

\For your information:

It is a known chat/forum/email etiquette thing...if you respond with all capitol letters you are YELLING...so if you don't mean to be YELLING then turn your computer keyboard CAPS-LOCK OFF.

Got it?

Dude...see the above post for the caps-lock issue.

As far as mods....the LS1 mod as you refered to it, isn't really a mod, its a program and cable that you purchase that is used to alter (program) the PCMs default tuning. It allows great flexibility to alter your engines performance after adding mods that affect the stock tuning. It has a rather steep learning curve. You may want to got to the LS1 archives and read through some of the past descussions to get an idea if its the right thing for you. If it seems like to much you can always purchase the Predator which is the same type of product but with less flexibility than LS1Edit...

Hey Man,I'm sorry for the misunderstanding,I did'nt realize you meant the writing in capital letters.I am getting my LS1 Edit professionally installed tomorrow,I just got it today.{he he]I thought you meant turning something off to do the programing. My tuner had me take off some bolt on's ,mod maf,mod iat.Said he would rather tune it first as close to stock as possible.Any input would be appreciated.Again sorry about the misunderstanding.Peace,John
