James, are they going to allow more adjustment for TC's?
So that you can adjust for high stall converters.

Chuck, possibly so, at least I hope. I'm going to throw this up to them again. Thanks for reminding!

For those of you wondering about sending your Predator units back to Diablo to have 1.04 installed, not to worry. With James helping I sent mine back and had it updated from 1.02 to 1.03. I shipped it on Monday directly to Diablo and I received it back from them on Friday, the same week! Great service, especially if you mention you bought it from James who is either Diablo's biggest dealer or their biggest pest. Either way thanks James for the continued support.

Stefan, hello there, and thanks for the post.

DiabloSport, at the time, decided to go with the market that had the most opportunity for producing a successful product, and since there were already 4 to 5 models year to work with that had the same or similar pcm systems (99-02 trucks, Camaros, and Firebirds, and 99-03 Vettes), that made the most logical choice from a marketing and engineering standpoint.

I am aware that many 97 and 98 owners would like to have this tool come to their market too, and I am constantly requesting that DiabloSport dwelves into this market as well. Only time will tell when and if it will happen, but you can be assured I will continue to support doing such.

Thanks!

Sincerely...

I have heard that they may bring another software to market that would put the Predator on the backburner for future upgrades, maybe James can elaborate on this further ???

Scott, i believe you are talking about the REVOLUTION Software. This is a much advanced program, very much like LS Edit! :reddevil I don't think this however will kill off the hand held units. These should in fact be targeted towards two distinctly different end users. :reddevil

Well maybe they should take care of their existing customer base with logging and PE table modification with version 1.04. We have been waiting months without any hope of ever seeing these.

I'm sorry I will never buy or reccomend another Diablo product again unless they can get some of these features they promised in the .04 update. I bought mine with the inherint promise that they would be adding funtionality in .04.

Is it even in beta right now? Are they even coding it? What is the time line?

PE Table modification is already included. Yes, it's only % increment across the whole board, and I expect it to allow at least low/high changes independent from one another in the next release, but hopefully low/mid/high.

I'll give a sneak peak of what's to come in the end-user options in the revision upgrades:

Axle Ratio Adjustment Fix
LTFT adjustment ability
More timing and fuel control
Idle Control
More transmission options (downshifting, etc.)
Ability to turn off specific pcm Tests and DTC's (diagnostic trouble codes)
Ability to adjust factory tuning with end-user options

There are a few possible options I do not want to discuss right now, simply because I'm not sure if they will make it on the next revision or not, or not at all.

I have heard that they may bring another software to market that would put the Predator on the backburner for future upgrades, maybe James can elaborate on this further ???
No, this is not true. Let the rumors be squashed here ;)

The Predator will always be the tool that transfer the tune into the vehicle, and it is *not* on hold for current and future development. Whoever is telling that needs a lesson concerning this, so please spread what I'm saying as truth.

As for if ChipMaster-Revolution (CMR, the software that I use to build custom tunes) will be made available to the general public, I have been pressing for end-user software for a long while now, especially for the GM market, even before CMR was released for Fords. If it happens, I'd expect it to be offered only through us existing CMR dealers, for obvious reasons. This would allow the proper support that end-users would need and deserve, and to keep the product from being horsed about by rogue individuals/businesses. Only time will tell, and until then, I will continue to press the need for it for everyone.

Kind Regards...

Well those features are great, but when the heck will we ever see .04 ? You would think that there would be some kinda of schedule. And logging which is the biggest ticket item isn't even on the list....

My point is that .04 was "being worked/close" since I bought my unit in october. After 5 months it still doesn't exist, and there is no forseable timeline for when it might come out.

Everyone, I have no clear timetable as to when the next revision will be released. I'm sorry, but I just do not have that information. I can assure you that it will happen, however.

The Predator for the 2004 vehicles (trucks and Vettes) is being worked on now, and they have successfully tuned 2004 vehicles already that they are using for R&D.

I do not have any further information at this time. Thank you.

Kind Regards...

If you're interested in a Predator buy one don't wait for the l.04. With James on the job and as nice as Diablo Sports is to deal with it's an easy up grade. I mailed my 1.02 back to have it upgraded to 1.03 on Monday had it back Thursday! So buy now and enjoy, then when you upgrade to the 1.04 you'll have something to compare it with.
